Military Medicine: Beyond the Battlefield, hosted and reported by ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff, covers military medical advances and technology from the battlefield to the return home. The personal stories of physicians, scientists, active duty troops, veterans, and military families come together in this one hour documentary to show how these advances are both saving and changing the lives of America’s service members.
Having had no relationships with anyone in the military prior to this project, this Military Medicine forced my outside of my comfort zone – to be vulnerable and relate to people with physical or mental disabilities and emotional traumas that I could never imagine. Their inspiring stories really put things in perspective for me.
It was one of my first projects where I truly felt that sense of honor that comes with being a producer and storyteller.
